What is covered
Classic car requirements
At least 30 years since first registration, good original condition (minimum grade 3) and a market value of at least €5,000.
Youngtimer (25 years)
Vehicles at least 25 years old can access a special Youngtimer tariff with similar conditions.
Classics (40 years)
Vehicles over 40 years old get access to the most favorable "PKW-Klassiker" tariff.
What is not covered
Daily or commercial use
The classic car tariff does not apply to vehicles used as a daily means of transport or for commercial purposes.
Undeclared modifications
Modifications that alter the original condition and have not been reported can void the special tariff.
Racing participation
Damage from preparing for or participating in races and competitions is not covered.
